KoKoA FuJiWaRa

It's been a while since last I've read it, but today I felt in the mood to take a look back to some ol' favorites in my manga collection.

I do not own any printed exemplars, not that I miss them.  My "crib" is just as small as a Japanese flat, so having all the mangas that make me smile would leave me staying out in the street, out of room inside the house to shelter from the rain.

I was re- reading Kokoa Fujiwara's work...  Inu X Boku SS.  I think that for most of us, newfound otakus, this is one of the most relevant works in the manga world.   While there are others that know it only from the anime short-series, it is rare the one who knows about this work and says: "meh!" in regards to the complexity of the overall storyline and the connection of the characters.

The fact that it is a fantasy surrounding or that the characters themselves are a mixture of reality and fantasy matter little to the plot.

That desire to "dispose" of Miketsukami-chan...
Regardless, I still can't slowly go through the murder of Miketsukami as I can't quite forgive that the whole idea was conceived by a bored brat.

Yet, I can't stop smiling each time I read how Miketsukami, a very passive sadist, always get what HE wants despite whatever anyone else wants.  So much a reflection of the Japanese society, but then again, of all societies where women seek men that are "kind, committed, devoted and mild"...  hahaha

It would seem that "we" women have achieved our "independence" but in truth we are only seeking for such characters, that softly and behind the facade of being mild and moderate, they "guide us" and "coherce  us to do their will.

進撃 の巨人 Attack on Titan....

Last month I ordered a pizza.   The boy who delivered it was an interesting late teenager or young adult.  Which ever you want.  He was late and of course, I was already on the phone checking on this "30 minutes or it's free" policy that a certain pizzeria worldwide has.

It shocked me to learn that, despite all their advertising according to the delivery boy's statement, they DO charge pizzas to their employees....  I mean... WTH?

Anyway, as I was on the phone and a mild rain started to pour, I noticed that he was wearing a button...

At first, I thought it was this image:
Ichigo Kurosaki  (Bleach)

I asked him if it was Ichigo.  He looked at me as if I had said that he had a pop quiz that was worth the entirety of the semester...  Boy it's been a long time since I am out of school....  Anyway, he hesitated and said "no.... hum....it's...." then I realized that it was THIS image:
Eren Yeager (Attack on titan)

And of course, we started talking and chatting about the whole Season 2....  I know that Attack on Titan has gotten a booster with the second season, but I wonder if all this paraphernalia will stop as suddenly as it rose?

Will it be as successful as Bleach was during its time?
